New Delhi: BEML Limited, a key public sector enterprise under the Ministry of Defence, has won two coveted awards at the ET Leadership Excellence Awards 2025, underscoring its excellence in indigenous engineering and brand credibility.

Double Recognition for BEML

At a prestigious ceremony held in New Delhi, BEML and its leadership were conferred the following honours

  • Excellence in Indigenous Engineering Award – presented to Mr Shantanu Roy, Chairman & Managing Director, BEML Ltd.
  • Trusted Brand Excellence Award – conferred on BEML Limited itself.

The awards were handed over by acclaimed actor and motivational speaker Mr Anupam Kher, adding a celebratory and inspirational touch to the evening.

Instituted by Bennett Coleman & Co. Ltd. (The Times of India Group), the ET Excellence Awards recognise industry leaders and organisations driving impactful innovation, trust, and societal progress.

  • India’s first Vande Bharat Sleeper Trainset
  • Indigenously developed 1,500 HP tank engine
  • Advanced mining and defence mobility solutions
  • Participation in bullet train and high-speed rail projects
  • High-mobility defence vehicles and aerospace components

These achievements are a testament to BEML’s pivotal role in the Make in India and Aatmanirbhar Bharat initiatives, pushing boundaries in sectors like rail & metro, defence, aerospace, and mining.

CMD’s Vision for the Future

Mr Shantanu Roy, CMD of BEML, dedicated the awards to the team and reaffirmed BEML’s commitment to technological leadership, sustainability, and national self-reliance.
