Bhavnagar: Amid the ongoing local self-government elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) presented its long-term vision for a developed Gujarat, highlighting major infrastructure and economic initiatives driven by the state government in collaboration with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
CM Bhupendra Patel Unveils Vision 2047 Blueprint
Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel outlined a comprehensive development blueprint for “Viksit Gujarat” up to 2047 during a Prabuddha Sammelan held in Bhavnagar.
The event, hosted at the Atal Auditorium of Maharaja Krishnakumarsinhji University, followed a similar program earlier in Botad. Patel emphasized that the roadmap aligns with the broader national vision of a developed India.
Focus on Six Key Sectors for Holistic Development
According to the Chief Minister, the roadmap has been divided into six major sectors to ensure all-round progress across the state. These sectors aim to strengthen infrastructure, boost industrial growth, enhance public services, and create employment opportunities.
He noted that the implementation of this roadmap has already begun in several regions of Gujarat.
Strong Participation from Trade and Education Sectors
The convention saw active participation from trade associations, business leaders, and representatives of educational institutions. The event was jointly organized by local industry bodies and academic organizations to encourage dialogue on development and economic growth.
A large number of stakeholders from the business and education sectors attended, reflecting strong interest in Gujarat’s future development plans.

During the event, the BJP positioned itself as a development-focused party, citing improvements in key public infrastructure such as:
- Water supply systems
- Electricity availability
- Road networks
The party also emphasized the impact of initiatives like the Vibrant Gujarat Summit, which has attracted significant domestic and international investments, leading to job creation and industrial expansion.
Gujarat’s Role in ‘Viksit Bharat 2047’
CM Patel reiterated that Gujarat is progressing under the guiding principle of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas,” a vision championed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He expressed confidence that the state will play a leading role in achieving the goal of a developed India by 2047.
He also highlighted efforts to position India as a global player in emerging sectors such as semiconductors.
