In a recent administrative reshuffle, the Bihar General Administration Department has transferred two senior IAS officers from the Governor’s Secretariat. As per the official order, Mr. Sanjay Kumar, a 2011-batch IAS officer serving as Special Secretary, and Mr. Mahabir Prasad Sharma, a 2013-batch IAS officer, have been relieved from their current posts and sent to the General Administration Department until further orders.

New Appointments in the Governor’s Secretariat
To fill the vacancies, the state government has appointed Dr. Nand Lal Arya, a 2014-batch IAS officer, as Additional Secretary in the Governor’s Secretariat. Dr. Arya was earlier posted as the Settlement Officer in the Nalanda district. Additionally, Mr. Suman Kumar, also a 2014-batch IAS officer, has been appointed as Additional Secretary to the Governor. Mr. Kumar previously held the position of Additional Secretary in the Cabinet Secretariat.
Administrative Reshuffle Aimed at Streamlining Governance
This move is part of the Bihar government’s ongoing efforts to streamline administrative operations and strengthen key secretarial functions. The newly appointed officers are expected to bring their field experience and administrative insight to their new roles at the Raj Bhavan.
