On the first day of the new year, the Nitish Kumar led Bihar government announced the promotion of six senior IAS officers, as per the notification issued by the General Administration Department. The promoted officers include:
Jitendra Srivastava (2000 Batch) – Promoted to Principal Secretary. He was previously serving as Joint Secretary in the Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation, Government of India.
Amit Kumar (2012 Batch) – Promoted to Special Secretary. He was serving as Secretary to Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, Ministry of Ports, Shipping, and Waterways, Government of India.
Rajesh Meena (2012 Batch) – Promoted to Special Secretary. He was serving as Deputy Director (Deputy Secretary level) in the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration, Mussoorie.
Saket Kumar (2009 Batch) – Promoted to Secretary. He was previously serving as the Private Secretary to Union Home Minister Amit Shah in the Home Ministry.
Raman Kumar (2009 Batch) – Promoted. He was serving as the Private Secretary to Union Minister Giriraj Singh in the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India.
Ramachandrudu (2009 Batch) – Promoted. He was posted as Director in the Census Work and Citizen Registration of the Government of India.
