In a significant move, the General Administration Department (GAD) of Gujarat, on Wednesday, announced the promotion of two senior IAS officers, Vatsala Vasudeva and D Thara, as per the order of the Governor of Gujarat.
IAS Vatsala Vasudeva (RR:GJ:1995), currently serving as the Managing Director of Gujarat Industries Power Company Ltd, Vadodara, has been promoted to the Grade of Additional Chief Secretary to Government, which is the 17th level in the pay matrix, with a fixed pay of ₹2,25,000.
She will continue to serve as Managing Director of the Gujarat Industries Power Company Ltd, Vadodara, in an Ex-cadre post, which has been equated with the IAS Cadre post of Additional Chief Secretary to Government.
IAS D Thara (RR:GJ:1995), presently serving as the Additional Secretary to the Government of India, Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs, New Delhi, has been granted a proforma promotion to the Grade of Additional Chief Secretary to Government with the same pay scale of ₹2,25,000. However, her services will continue to be placed at the disposal of the Government of India.
