Patna/Hyderabad: Bihar is stepping up efforts to build itself as a technology and digital investment hub, with global technology companies showing interest in investment and partnerships during the Bihar IT Industry Meet 2026 in Hyderabad.
The event brought together technology companies, Global Capability Centre (GCC) leaders, startups, venture capital firms and industry experts to explore investment opportunities and long-term collaborations in Bihar.
Bihar Pitches ‘Tech Bihar’ Vision
Information Technology Minister Nitish Mishra said the state aims to position Bihar as a major destination for technology, innovation and Global Capability Centres.
He highlighted investment opportunities in emerging sectors including:
- IT and ITES
- Artificial Intelligence
- Data centres
- Electronics
- DeepTech
- Digital services
Mishra said the government’s objective goes beyond attracting investment and includes building an industry-friendly technology ecosystem where companies, innovators and young talent can grow together.
Industry representatives were briefed on Bihar’s Ease of Doing Business measures, Single Window Clearance System, investment incentives, skill development programmes and digital infrastructure.

Wipro, Infosys Consulting Among Firms Engaged
During the meet, IT Department Secretary Abhay Kumar Singh held one-to-one meetings with senior representatives of several companies.
Discussions with Wipro and Infosys Consulting covered employment generation, skill development and technological collaboration. Meetings were also held with representatives of Sandoz Pharma and other technology and industry organisations.
The discussions explored opportunities for digital investment, research and innovation, IT/ITES expansion and the establishment of GCCs in Bihar.
Bihar Showcases IT and GCC Policies
The IT Secretary presented the Bihar IT Policy 2024 and Bihar Global Capability Centre (GCC) Policy 2026 to industry representatives.
The presentation highlighted investment incentives, digital infrastructure, skilled human resources and Bihar’s administrative framework.
The state is positioning its large young talent pool and policy support as key advantages for companies looking to expand technology operations.
GCCs, AI and IT Parks in Focus
The industry meet also featured discussions with representatives of JLL India GCC, Zuora, Amnex Infotechnologies, Broadcom, VAJRAM, iLogitron Technologies and RAMINFO Limited, among others.
The discussions covered potential collaboration and investment in:
- Global Capability Centres and IT parks
- Software engineering and AI solutions
- Electronics manufacturing
- Startups, research and innovation
- Technology infrastructure and skill development
Bihar Seeks Place in India’s Technology Map
The Bihar IT Industry Meet 2026 marks an effort to move the state’s technology ambitions from policy announcements towards industry partnerships and investment.
The government expects increased technology investment to create employment opportunities, strengthen skill development and expand the state’s digital infrastructure.
With growing attention on GCCs, artificial intelligence, electronics and digital services, Bihar is seeking to establish itself as an emerging technology destination in eastern India.
