Patna: Bihar Tourism has introduced a special 2-night and 3-day tourism package covering Bodh Gaya, Rajgir and Nalanda, offering travellers a convenient way to experience the state’s spiritual heritage, ancient history and natural attractions.
The journey will begin and end in Patna, taking tourists through three of Bihar’s major tourism destinations. The package includes transportation, accommodation, meals, trained guides, tourism police assistance and entry fees for major monuments, allowing visitors to explore the destinations without making separate arrangements.
The initiative comes under the broader Brand Bihar effort to showcase the state’s diverse tourism potential and attract more visitors.
Package Starts at ₹20,000 Per Person
The package has been designed for different group sizes and travel requirements.
For a tourist group of at least 15 people, the package costs ₹20,000 per person. For travel by Innova, the minimum group size is five people, with the package priced at ₹20,500 per person.
For tourists travelling in an Etios, the minimum group size is three people and the package costs ₹21,500 per person.
The package combines travel, accommodation, food, guided sightseeing, tourism police support and entry charges, making it a bundled option for visitors planning a short Bihar tour.

Bodh Gaya: Journey Begins at the Land of Buddha
The first day of the tour will take tourists from Patna to Bodh Gaya, one of the world’s most important Buddhist pilgrimage destinations.
After breakfast at Hotel Rajgirah in Jehanabad, the group will proceed to Bodh Gaya. The itinerary includes a visit to the Mahabodhi Temple and the sacred Bodhi Tree, followed by sightseeing at the 80-foot Buddha statue.
Tourists will also visit several Buddhist monasteries, the Archaeological Museum and Sujata Garh. These sites will give visitors an opportunity to understand Bodh Gaya’s religious importance as well as its archaeological and historical significance.
After a full day of sightseeing, dinner and overnight accommodation will be arranged at Hotel Mahabodhi.
Rajgir Brings Together History and Nature
On the second day, the journey will move from Bodh Gaya to Rajgir, another major tourism destination known for its religious, historical and natural attractions.
The itinerary includes visits to the Vishwa Shanti Stupa and Ghora Katora, known for its scenic surroundings. After lunch, tourists will explore several important sites, including Venu Van, Pandu Pokhar, Son Bhandar, Bimbisara Jail, Maniyar Math, the Cyclopean Wall and the hot springs.
The combination of ancient monuments, religious sites and natural attractions will allow tourists to experience the different dimensions of Rajgir.
After evening refreshments, dinner and overnight stay will be arranged at Indo Hokke Hotel.
Nalanda to Showcase Bihar’s Ancient Knowledge Legacy
The third day will focus on Nalanda and its globally recognised legacy of education and knowledge.
Tourists will visit the ancient Nalanda University ruins, Nalanda Museum and Xuanzang Memorial Hall. These sites offer a glimpse into India’s ancient education system and Nalanda’s importance as a major centre of learning.
The visit is also aimed at helping tourists understand the historical significance of Nalanda and its contribution to India’s intellectual and cultural heritage.
After lunch, the group will begin its return journey from Nalanda to Patna, bringing the three-day heritage tour to an end.
