Mumbai: Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) has appointed Dibyendu Dwijesh Sarkar, currently Project Head of Renewable Energy, as the new Chief General Manager (Renewable Energy). This strategic move underscores BPCL’s commitment to expanding and strengthening its renewable energy initiatives as part of its broader sustainability goals.
Sarkar holds a Diploma in Management Studies from Ramniranjan Anandilal Podar College of Commerce & Economics, Mumbai, and a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Electrical Engineering from Visvesvaraya Regional College of Engineering, Nagpur. Over the years, he has taken on various roles in renewable energy and at BPCL’s Mumbai Refinery, contributing to administration, project execution, and maintenance.

BPCL has been actively diversifying its energy portfolio by investing in renewable sources such as solar and wind power.
