Kochi: Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited’s (BPCL) Kochi Refinery has achieved a major recognition by winning the prestigious Golden Peacock Award for Energy Efficiency 2026 in the Oil & Refining Sector.

The award honours Kochi Refinery’s outstanding contribution towards energy conservation, process optimisation, digital monitoring and sustainable refining practices. The achievement reflects the refinery’s continued efforts to improve operational efficiency while promoting environmentally responsible energy management.

Award Presented at GIFT City, Gandhinagar

The Golden Peacock Award was presented at a ceremony held at GIFT City, Gandhinagar, Gujarat.

The award was presented by Justice Sunita Agrawal, Chief Justice of the Gujarat High Court.

The award was received on behalf of BPCL by a team from Kochi Refinery led by:

  • Arunkumar C.R. – General Manager (Technical)
  • Jaimon K.B. – Deputy General Manager (Manufacturing II)
  • Koteswara Rao G. – Deputy General Manager (Optimization)
  • Nitin Dorlikar – Chief Manager (Energy)
