New Delhi: The Ministry of Heavy Industries, Government of India, has appointed Brajesh Kumar Srivastava as the Part-Time Official Director (Government Nominee) on the Board of Andrew Yule & Co. Ltd. (AYCL), a central public sector enterprise under the administrative control of the Ministry.
An official order confirming the appointment was issued on 14th July 2025.
Rich Experience Across Ministries
Srivastava, a Postgraduate in Physics with an MBA in Human Resource Management, brings over 32 years of wide-ranging administrative and policy experience in various key government ministries and institutions. His contributions span across critical areas such as aviation security, energy diplomacy, steel sector governance, and administrative training.
Currently serving as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Heavy Industries, Srivastava has been overseeing matters related to certain CPSEs and has now been entrusted with the role of Government Director on AYCL’s Board.
Career Highlights Across Sectors
Ministry of Civil Aviation: Served over 5 years as Deputy Secretary, managing aviation security policy, with interactions involving ICAO, BCAS, DGCA, CISF, and MHA. He handled finance-related matters for aviation bodies such as MoCA, DGCA, BCAS, and AAIB.
Ministry of External Affairs: Handled international energy security matters (hydrocarbons, power, renewables), and worked on defence and development diplomacy.
LBSNAA, Mussoorie: Contributed to training India’s top civil servants by managing administration, finance, protocol, and estate operations for nearly 2 years.
Ministry of Home Affairs: Worked in legislative and administrative roles.
Ministry of Steel: Oversaw issues relating to private sector steel, coal linkage policies, and the administration of steel PSUs.
