In a minor bureaucratic reshuffle, the Himanta Biswa Sarma led Assam government has transferred and posted 3 IAS and 1 ACS officers.
The Personnel Department issued an official notification in this regard.
1994 batch senior IAS officer Rajeev Chandra Joshi has been transferred and posted as Principal Secretary to the Government of Assam, Environment, Forest, and Climate Change Department.
He was serving as Principal Secretary, General Administration Department, and Special Principal Resident Commissioner, Assam Bhawan, New Delhi.
2005 batch IAS officer M.S. Manivannan, who is Commissioner and Secretary to the Government of Assam, General Administration, Irrigation Departments, and CEO, SITA, has been also posted as Resident Commissioner, Assam Bhawan, New Delhi. It is his additional charge.
Mr. Biswajit Pegu, an IAS officer of 2009 batch and Secretary to the Government of Assam, Home and Political Department, is also posted as Secretary to the Government of Assam, Environment, Forest, and Climate Change Department. It is his additional charge.
While 1992 batch ACS (Assam Civil Services) officer Mahmood Hassan has been transferred and directed to report to the Personnel Department for further posting. He was Secretary to the Government of Assam, Environment, Forest, and Climate Change Department.
In another notification in pursuance of the Election Commission of India’s letter dated July 28, 2023, ACS Dhiraj Kr. Jain is transferred and posted as Deputy Secretary to the Government of Assam, Election Department, and Joint CEO (Chief Electoral Officer), Assam.’ He was Deputy Secretary to the Government of Assam, Department of Housing & Urban Affairs.
