One IPS and three police personnel of Himachal Police have been awarded the Union Home Minister’s Medal for Excellence in Police Training for the year 2021-22. With IPS officer, ASI, SI and head constable are also among those honored.
A spokesman of the State Police Headquarters said on Tuesday that the four police officers and personnel who were honored are serving in the Police Training College Daroh of district Kangra. These include SP Ramesh Chandra Chhajata (IPS officer), SI Satpal, ASI Krishna Chand and Head Constable Kultar Singh. The Union Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, has awarded this medal for remarkable services in the Police Training College, Daroh in the year 2021-22.
