President’s Meritorious Service Medal to be Awarded to IPS Officer Ratanlal Dangi

10 police officers honored for better service and efficient work

IG Ratanlal Dangi of Bilaspur range will be awarded the President’s Meritorious Service Medal on August 15. Along with him, 10 police officers of the state will also get this medal. The Union Home Ministry has selected these officers for better service and efficient work. Chief Minister will honor these officers on the occasion of Independence Day in the capital Raipur

IPS Ratanlal Dangi said that every year on 26 January and 15 August, officers who do good work in the police are honoured by the Ministry of Home Affairs of the Central Government. This time he has been selected for the President’s Police Medal for Meritorious Service of 2020. Along with him, 10 other police officers of the state have also been selected. This award is sent to the Central Government after assessing their work during the service of 18 years. After this, the committee of the Central Government finalizes the list.

Apart from Ratanlal Dangi This honour is given to Vivek Shukla who is the 11th army officer, Chhasbal, Janjgir-Champa, Ramadhar Markande, Platoon Commander, 2nd army officer, Chhasbal, Sakri, Bilaspur, Rambadan Yadav, Platoon Commander, 12th army officer, Chhasbal, Ramanujganj Balrampur, Ujiala Prasad Singh, Assistant Platoon Commander, 6th Army Officer, Chhasbal, Raigad, Raj Kumar Dwivedi, Head Constable, Special Branch Durg, Kanhu Rathia, Head Constable, 6th Army officer, Chhasbal, Raigarh, Sukaldhar Nag, Head Constable, 8th Army officer, Chhasbal, Rajnandgaon, Rajesh Kumar, Sub Inspector, Technical Branch, Dantewada, Sushen Kumar Paul, Sub Inspector, Police Station Bodhghat, Jagdalpur will also be honoured with this award.

Even before this, IPS Dangi has received the President’s Gallantry Medal in 2008-09 while being SP in Bijapur. When he was SP in Bijapur, then in 2006-07 Naxal operation was done. At that time he led the operation as SP and many encounters also took place. During this, the team under his leadership had an encounter with the Naxalites. Along with this, with the help of the police, he had also done many development works in the Naxal affected areas. There were many such things which the administration was not able to do. The work was possible with the help of the police. For this he received the Presidential Gallantry Medal. He said that working in any field is a challenge. But, challenges also give us opportunities and it is always beneficial for career.

IPS Ratanlal Dangi also teaches the police officers and jawans how to live daily life in a better way. For the past several years, he has also been giving yoga exercises to the police personnel. Motivational videos of his yoga also keep coming in social media.
