Chhattisgarh Launches “AI-Enabled Education Campaign” to Transform School Learning and Certify 2 Lakh Teachers

Raipur: In a significant step towards modernizing the state’s education system, the Government of Chhattisgarh has launched the “AI-Enabled Education Campaign” aimed at integrating artificial intelligence (AI) into school education. The initiative will provide AI training and certification to over 2 lakh teachers, starting with Raipur as a pilot district.

Chief Minister Meets Google Officials

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai welcomed senior officials from Google for Education India, including Mr. Sanjay Jain, Head of Google for Education India, and Mr. Rakesh Ranjan, Public Policy Head, Google India. During the meeting at the Chief Minister’s residence in Raipur, the officials were felicitated with a traditional shawl and Bastar art replica.

AI-Enabled Education Campaign: Pilot Launch in Raipur

Under a Letter of Intent (LOI) between Raipur District Administration and Google, the AI-Enabled Education Campaign has been officially launched. This initiative focuses on implementing AI-based tools and innovations in school education. The pilot phase will begin in Raipur, with plans to expand statewide.

“Empowered Teacher Program” for Skill Development

The campaign includes the “Empowered Teacher Program”, which will train teachers on modern digital tools and AI-based teaching methodologies. The program aims to strengthen teachers’ technical capabilities, enabling them to enhance classroom learning and student outcomes.

AI Certification for 2 Lakh Teachers

A key highlight of the initiative is providing AI certification to over 2 lakh teachers across Chhattisgarh. Google for Education will make its digital platforms freely accessible to teachers, ensuring comprehensive skill development in AI-integrated teaching.

Special Workshops to Begin with 200 Teachers

The first phase of the program will host special workshops with 200 teachers, offering hands-on training with Google tools. The workshops will focus on practical applications of AI in classrooms and strategies to improve student learning outcomes.

Government’s Focus on Technology-Enabled Education

Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai emphasized that the state government is committed to making education technology-enabled and innovation-driven. Integrating AI into the education system is seen as a crucial step in preparing students to compete at a global level.

Developing 21st Century Skills Among Students

According to the Chief Minister, the initiative will not only enhance teaching quality but also help students develop new-age skills, equipping them to tackle future challenges effectively.

Transformative Impact of AI in Education

The Chief Minister highlighted that the campaign will be transformative for both teachers and students. AI-based training and digital resources will empower teachers, making classroom teaching more effective and results-oriented.

Alignment with National Education Policy and Digital India Vision

This initiative aligns with the National Education Policy 2020 and Digital India vision, aiming to create a knowledge-based, technology-empowered state. By adopting AI-driven education, Chhattisgarh seeks to establish itself as a pioneer in modern, future-ready learning.

Officials Present at the Launch

The launch event was attended by Mukesh Bansal, Chief Minister’s Secretary, Dr. Gaurav Singh, Raipur Collector, and several senior government officials.
