Raipur: Chief Minister Mr. Vishnu Deo Sai on Tuesday virtually inaugurated development works worth Rs. 255 crore for the Police Department from the Police Headquarters, Naya Raipur. The projects include new cyber police stations, police station buildings, residential quarters, transit hostels, SDOP offices, and other infrastructure constructed across various districts of the state.
Congratulating the people of the state and police personnel, the Chief Minister described the occasion as a significant step towards strengthening policing infrastructure and law and order.
8 New Cyber Police Stations Inaugurated
As part of the initiative, the Chief Minister inaugurated eight new cyber police stations, marking a major push to combat the growing challenge of cybercrime. These cyber police stations have been established in districts including Jashpur, Raigarh, and Rajnandgaon.
Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister Mr. Vijay Sharma said that earlier, cyber police stations were functional in only five districts. With the inauguration of eight new cyber police stations, cybercrime response capabilities have been significantly expanded. He added that more cyber police stations will be established in other districts in the future based on requirement.

Rs. 255 Crore Worth of Police Infrastructure Dedicated to the State
Addressing the programme, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai said it was a fortunate day for the Police Department, as multiple construction works worth Rs. 255 crore were inaugurated simultaneously.
He said that through presentations, it was evident that the cyber police stations, SDOP offices, police outposts, transit hostels, and residential buildings have been constructed in a well-planned, convenient, and aesthetically pleasing manner. Commending the executing agencies for quality construction, the Chief Minister said these facilities would provide a supportive and positive working environment.
Better Facilities Will Strengthen Law and Order
The Chief Minister emphasised that providing basic infrastructure and housing facilities would inspire police officers and employees to perform their duties more effectively.
He said the state government is continuously working to improve housing and workplace facilities for officers and employees. According to him, such initiatives will not only strengthen law and order but also enhance security in remote and sensitive areas of the state. Calling it a good beginning, he said these efforts would have a long-term impact on policing efficiency.
Home Minister Highlights Expansion of Cyber Policing
Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister Vijay Sharma said that cybercrime is emerging as a serious challenge, and the establishment of cyber police stations across the state is a strategic step to address it effectively.
Apart from cyber police stations, he informed that Bharat Rakshit Vahini campuses were inaugurated in four districts, new police station buildings in nine districts, and Central Armed Forces outpost and residential buildings in Mana were also inaugurated.
He expressed gratitude to Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai for approving and inaugurating the Rs. 255 crore worth of construction works and congratulated all stakeholders on the occasion.
