Chhattisgarh CM Vishnu Deo Sai Flags Off Free Ambulance for Dharsiwa to Strengthen Emergency Healthcare

The DMF-funded ambulance, worth ₹19.65 lakh, will operate 24x7 from the Dharsiwa Community Health Centre, providing timely emergency medical services to patients across the constituency.

Raipur: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai flagged off a free ambulance service for the people of Dharsiwa Assembly constituency from the Chief Minister’s residence in Raipur on Monday. The initiative aims to strengthen emergency healthcare services and ensure timely medical assistance for residents during critical situations.

After performing traditional prayers, the Chief Minister formally flagged off the ambulance and handed over its keys to the driver in the presence of Dharsiwa MLA Anuj Sharma and senior officials from the Health Department.

Speaking on the occasion, Sai said the state government’s priority is to ensure that every citizen has access to timely, affordable, and quality healthcare services. He added that the government is continuously strengthening health infrastructure across Chhattisgarh to improve emergency medical response.

Free Ambulance to Improve Emergency Medical Response

Congratulating the residents of Dharsiwa, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai said that the first few moments after a medical emergency are often the most crucial.

He noted that reaching a hospital on time can save lives in many serious situations. The newly launched ambulance is expected to provide quick transportation for:

  • Pregnant women
  • Critically ill patients
  • Senior citizens
  • Victims of road accidents
  • People injured in other emergencies

According to the Chief Minister, the service will not only improve emergency healthcare delivery but also strengthen public confidence in the state’s healthcare system.

State Government Strengthening Healthcare Infrastructure

Sai said the Chhattisgarh Government is working continuously to expand healthcare services in both rural and urban areas.

The government is focusing on several key initiatives, including:

  • Upgrading hospitals
  • Providing modern medical equipment
  • Appointing specialist doctors
  • Ensuring easy availability of medicines
  • Strengthening emergency healthcare services

He emphasized that healthy citizens are the foundation of a prosperous society and a developed state, making public health one of the government’s highest priorities.

Ambulance Procured Through DMF Funds

Dharsiwa MLA Anuj Sharma said the constituency had long felt the need for a modern ambulance to improve emergency medical care. To address this requirement, an advanced ambulance has been provided through the District Mineral Foundation (DMF) at a cost of approximately ₹19.65 lakh. He said the ambulance would significantly improve the speed and efficiency of emergency healthcare services for residents of the constituency.

Ambulance to Operate Round the Clock

The ambulance has been assigned to the Community Health Centre (CHC), Dharsiwa, from where it will operate 24 hours a day.According to the MLA, the vehicle will play an important role in transporting critically ill patients safely and quickly to referral hospitals whenever advanced treatment is required.

Major Boost to Healthcare Services in Dharsiwa

The launch of the free ambulance marks another important step in strengthening healthcare infrastructure in the Dharsiwa Assembly constituency. Officials said the DMF-funded ambulance is expected to benefit thousands of residents by ensuring faster access to emergency medical care while improving the reach and quality of healthcare services in the region.

The initiative reflects the Chhattisgarh Government’s continued commitment to expanding healthcare facilities and ensuring that quality emergency medical services are available to every citizen across the state.
