Chhattisgarh Emerging as a Global Investment Hub

During the meeting with Mr. Nakajo Kazuya, Mr. Ando Yuji, and Mr. Hara Harunobu from JETRO, the Chief Minister highlighted Chhattisgarh’s strengths across key sectors, including information technology, aerospace, textiles, automobiles, electronics, and clean energy.

According to an official statement, Mr. Sai emphasized the state’s investor-friendly environment, backed by transparent policies, simplified administrative procedures, and a robust industrial ecosystem. He invited JETRO to send a delegation to Chhattisgarh to explore investment prospects first-hand and build long-term economic partnerships.

Focus on Innovation and International Cooperation

Reaffirming his government’s commitment to global collaboration, Mr. Sai stated that Chhattisgarh is not only striving for industrial self-reliance but also seeking to become a prominent destination for international partnerships and technology transfer.

He remarked that the meeting with JETRO officials would pave the way for deeper economic engagement between Japan and Chhattisgarh, supporting mutual interests in innovation and sustainable industrial development.

Inspiration for Space Innovation Cluster in Rajnandgaon

As part of his tour, the Chief Minister also visited the ‘Deep Space to the Moon & Beyond’ exhibition, organised in Japan to mark National Space Day. Impressed by the cutting-edge innovations on display, Mr. Sai expressed confidence that such exposure would directly benefit the development of the upcoming Space Manufacturing Cluster in Rajnandgaon, which is being built with support from the Central Government.

He noted that the insights gained from Japan’s advancements in space science would inspire innovation and help position Chhattisgarh as a hub for space-tech manufacturing in India.

JETRO Expresses Interest in Collaborating with Chhattisgarh

JETRO, a Japanese government-backed organisation promoting trade and investment, acknowledged Chhattisgarh’s dynamic potential and expressed a strong interest in exploring opportunities to strengthen trade ties.

In a social media post on ‘X’, Mr. Sai stated:

“In Tokyo, had a fruitful meeting with Mr. Nakajo Kazuya, Mr. Ando Yuji, and Mr. Hara Harunobu from @JETRO_InvestJP. We discussed Chhattisgarh’s vast potential in IT, textiles, aerospace, automobiles, electronics & clean energy. I invited JETRO to explore new avenues of investment in our rapidly growing state.”
