Chhattisgarh Govt Transfers 22 IAS Officers; 6 Collectors Shifted, Major Dept Changes, Sonmani Bora Gets Urban Administration Charge

The Chhattisgarh government has reshuffled 22 IAS officers, changing key departmental responsibilities and district postings, including several Collector appointments and major changes in Urban Administration, Tribal Development and Social Welfare.

Raipur: The Chhattisgarh government has issued a major administrative reshuffle involving 22 IAS officers, with changes spanning key state departments, district administrations and senior-level assignments.

The reshuffle includes the appointment of new Collectors in Kanker, Gariyaband, Mungeli, Sakti, Kabirdham and Mohla-Manpur-Ambagarh Chowki, besides changes in Urban Administration, Tribal Development, Forest and Climate Change, Social Welfare, Tourism and other departments.

Several officers have also been given additional charges, while some senior IAS officers have been moved to Mantralaya-level responsibilities.

Sonmani Bora Gets Urban Administration Charge

Sonmani Bora, IAS (1999), Principal Secretary, Tribal Development Department, Scheduled Caste Development Department, and Backward Classes and Minority Development Department, has been posted as Principal Secretary, Urban Administration and Development Department.

She will, however, continue to hold the additional charge of Principal Secretary, Science and Technology Department.

R. Sangeeta, IAS (2005), Secretary, Urban Administration and Development Department, has been posted as Secretary, Mantralaya.

Bhuvanesh Yadav Gets Additional Tribal Development Charge

Bhuvanesh Yadav, IAS (2006), Secretary, Planning, Economics and Statistics Department, with additional charge of the Commercial Tax (Registration) Department, has been assigned additional charge of Secretary, Tribal Development Department, Scheduled Caste Development Department, and Backward Classes and Minority Development Department.

Major Change in Urban Administration

Nileshkumar Mahadev Kshirsagar, IAS (2011), who was serving as Collector, Kanker, has been transferred and posted as Director, Urban Administration and Development.

Rimijiyasu Ekka, IAS (2011), Director, Urban Administration and Development, has been posted as Special Secretary, Public Health Engineering Department.

Ekka has also been given additional charge as Mission Director, Jal Jeevan Mission.

Election Officer Gets Additional Civil Supplies Charge

Bhoskar Vilas Sandipan, IAS (2011), Additional Chief Electoral Officer, Chhattisgarh, has been assigned additional charge of Managing Director, Chhattisgarh Civil Supplies Corporation.

The Election Commission of India has given its consent for the officer to hold the additional charge.

New Collectors Appointed in Six Districts

The reshuffle brings changes to several district administrations.

Ranbir Sharma, IAS (2012), Director, Social Welfare, has been posted as the new Collector of Gariyaband.

Kundan Kumar, IAS (2013), Collector, Mungeli, has been transferred as Collector, Kanker.

Amrit Vikas Topno, IAS (2014), Collector, Sakti, has been posted as Collector, Mungeli.

Jaishree Jain, IAS (2016), Joint Secretary, Forest and Climate Change Department, has been posted as Collector, Sakti.

Tulika Prajapati, IAS (2016), Collector, Mohla-Manpur-Ambagarh Chowki, has been transferred as Collector, Kabirdham.

Tanuja Salam, IAS (2019), Director, Sports and Youth Welfare, has been posted as Collector, Mohla-Manpur-Ambagarh Chowki.

The changes mark a significant restructuring of district-level administration across the state.

Gariyaband Collector Bhagwan Singh Uikey Moved to GAD

Bhagwan Singh Uikey, IAS (2016), Collector, Gariyaband, has been posted as Joint Secretary, General Administration Department.

Gopal Verma, IAS (2016), Collector, Kabirdham, has also been moved to the state headquarters and posted as Joint Secretary, Forest and Climate Change Department.

Changes in Social Welfare and Tribal Development

Hina Animesh Netam, IAS (2016), Director, Tribal Research and Training Institute, has been assigned additional charge as Managing Director, Antyavasai Cooperative Finance and Development Corporation.

Gajendra Singh Thakur, IAS (2019), Deputy Secretary, Revenue and Disaster Management and Rehabilitation Department, has been assigned additional charge of Director, Social Welfare.

More Changes at Mantralaya and District Panchayat Level

Roma Srivastava, IAS (2020), Deputy Secretary, Mantralaya, has been posted as Chief Executive Officer, District Panchayat, Surguja.

Akanksha Shiksha Khalkho, IAS (2020), CEO, District Panchayat, Narayanpur, has been appointed as Deputy Secretary, Commerce and Industry and Public Enterprises Department.

She will also hold additional charge as Director, Sports and Youth Welfare.

Leena Kosam, IAS (2020), Controller of Examinations, Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission, has been posted as Municipal Commissioner, Durg.

Tourism Board Gets New Managing Director

Saumil Ranjan Choubey, IAS (2021), Deputy Secretary, Agriculture Department, has been appointed as Managing Director, Tourism Board.

Birendra Bahadur Panchbhai, IAS (2021), Additional Collector, Narayanpur, has been transferred as Additional Collector, Bilaspur.
