Once struggling with poverty, she is now proudly known as a “Lakhpati Didi”, proving how collective effort and financial support can change lives.
Joined Self-Help Group and Started Cucumber Farming
Subhadra joined the Maa Saraswati Self-Help Group under the state’s livelihood mission. With guidance and financial assistance, she started cucumber cultivation on 2 acres of land.
The group received:
- ₹15,000 revolving fund
- ₹60,000 CIF support
- ₹3 lakh bank loan
This financial support helped women farmers begin organized agriculture work.
Daily Income of ₹7,000 Through Farming Success
With modern farming techniques and strong teamwork, the group began producing high-quality cucumbers.
Today, Subhadra and her team:
- Sell around 10 quintals of cucumber every alternate day
- Earn approximately ₹7,000 per day
This steady income has significantly improved their financial stability.
