Pride for the State
Welcoming the selection, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai said, “Through Chhattisgarh’s tableau, the entire nation will witness the patriotism of the tribal community, exceptional bravery, and the tradition of sacrificing lives for principles and values. This is a matter of pride and enthusiasm for our state.”
Rigorous Selection Process
According to Public Relations Secretary Rohit Yadav, proposals for tableaux were submitted by all states to the Ministry of Defence. After a four-month-long selection process, tableaux from 17 states made it to the final list, including Chhattisgarh. The expert committee appreciated the theme and design of the Chhattisgarh tableau, giving it final approval.
Public Relations Commissioner Dr. Ravi Mittal added that the tableau follows the Government of India’s theme, “Swatantrata Ka Mantra – Vande Mataram”, and depicts the sacrifices of tribal heroes in whose honor the digital museum has been established.
Design and Presentation
The theme and design of the tableau were developed under the guidance of the Public Relations Commissioner, passing through a rigorous five-stage approval process. Following the selection of the theme and design, a 3-D model of the tableau was presented, and the final approval was granted after selection of the accompanying music for the parade.
Officials said the tableau is a visual tribute to the tribal community, showcasing their courage, unity, and dedication to the nation, while making a strong cultural statement during the Republic Day celebrations.
