Raipur: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai inaugurated over ₹475 crore worth of development projects at Ambagarh Chowki during the Tribal Pride Day and Talent Award ceremony. He announced the upgradation of Ambagarh Chowki into a revenue division and the construction of a fully equipped auditorium. CM Sai also distributed the 22nd installment of the Mahatari Vandan Scheme directly into the accounts of beneficiary women. The event was presided over by Chhattisgarh Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh.
Government Efforts for Tribal Welfare
CM Sai highlighted the joint efforts of the Central Government under PM Narendra Modi and the Chhattisgarh Government in ensuring the overall development and welfare of tribal communities. He emphasized ongoing initiatives such as the Pradhan Mantri Janman and Gram Utkarsh Yojana that provide essential services, improve livelihoods, and promote inclusive development in tribal areas.

Achievements and Schemes Implemented
Over the past two years, the state government has ensured the fulfillment of all promises under PM Modi’s guarantee. Key measures include:
- Monthly ₹1,000 support under Mahatari Vandan Scheme for eligible women.
- Procurement of paddy at ₹3,100 per quintal.
- Tendu leaf collection rate at ₹5,500 per standard bag.
- Resumption of “Charan Paduka” distribution for tendu leaf collectors.
CM Sai also reaffirmed the government’s commitment to eliminating Maoist influence in the state by March 2026.
Tribute to Tribal Leaders and Cultural Heritage
The Chief Minister paid homage to tribal leader Birsa Munda, highlighting his contributions to India’s independence and nation-building. He announced the upcoming visit of President Droupadi Murmu for Birsa Munda’s birth anniversary celebrations in Sarguja.
Recognition of Tribal Talent and Citizens
Deputy CM Vijay Sharma, MP Santosh Pandey, District Panchayat Chairperson Matie Namrata Singh, and Tribal Affairs State President MD Thakur addressed the ceremony. Talented tribal individuals were honored, PM Housing Scheme beneficiaries received completion certificates, and meritorious students were recognized for excelling in competitive exams.

The event saw participation from MLA Bholaram Sahu, Chairperson of Chhattisgarh Tourism Board Neelu Sharma, Chairperson of Labour Welfare Board Yogesh Datt Mishra, former MLAs, local representatives, and a large gathering of citizens.
