Speculations Around IGI Airport Appointment Put to Rest

For several days, intense speculation surrounded the posting of IPS officers on deputation, particularly the appointment of the Chief Airport Security Officer (CASO) at Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport, New Delhi. These rumors were amplified when Mr. Kasso Senthil Avudai Krishna Raj, an IPS officer from the Uttarakhand cadre, was promoted from DIG to IG, yet continued to serve in his previous DIG role at IGI Airport.

The unusual delay in formalizing his IG-level appointment raised eyebrows and led to whispers that the CASO position might have been reserved for a particular IPS officer. However, Monday night’s official order has put an end to all such speculation.
