Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami hoisted the Tricolour at his official residence and urged people across Uttarakhand to actively participate in the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign.
He appealed to citizens to display the national flag at their homes, establishments and public places while following the Flag Code of India.
Dhami Calls Tricolour Symbol of National Pride
CM Dhami said the campaign represents the spirit of national unity, dedication and pride, rather than being limited to a single event.
He said the Tricolour symbolises India’s identity, self-respect, sacrifice and valour. He urged citizens to ensure that the national flag receives the highest respect.

Focus on Youth and Public Participation
The Chief Minister said the campaign, launched following Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call, has grown into a people’s movement and connects citizens with the spirit of nation-building.
He highlighted Uttarakhand’s long-standing contribution to the defence and service of the country and urged families to participate enthusiastically.
Dhami also appealed to citizens to:
- Follow the Flag Code of India.
- Encourage children and youth to respect the national flag.
- Promote the values of patriotism and national unity.

Call to Make ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ a Mass Movement
CM Dhami called upon the people of Uttarakhand to collectively turn the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign into a mass movement.
He said wider participation would help strengthen the country’s unity, integrity and sense of national pride while keeping the Tricolour at the centre of the Independence Day celebrations.
