Ranchi: Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren will attend a tribute programme marking the first death anniversary of Jharkhand movement leader and Dishom Guru Shibu Soren on August 4 at the Lukaiyatand Martyr Memorial Complex in Barlanga, Ramgarh district. The Chief Minister will attend the programme at 11 am, where he will unveil a 14-foot statue of Shibu Soren installed at the martyr memorial complex. He will also offer floral tributes to the late leader.
The event is expected to witness the participation of state government ministers, MLAs, representatives of various political parties, party workers, supporters and devotees.
CM Hemant Soren to Unveil 14-Foot Statue of Shibu Soren
During the tribute programme, CM Hemant Soren will pay homage to Shibu Soren and unveil his statue at the Lukaiyatand Martyr Memorial Complex. The programme will also include several government initiatives. The Chief Minister is scheduled to distribute assets and benefits among beneficiaries of various government welfare schemes.
He will also virtually lay the foundation stones for and inaugurate several development projects across the state. The district administration has completed the necessary preparations for the event.
Blood Donation Camp to Be Held at Ranchi Collectorate
A blood donation camp will also be organised at the Ranchi Collectorate on August 4 to mark the first death anniversary of Shibu Soren.
Ranchi Deputy Commissioner Manjunath Bhajantri has appealed to the heads of offices, officials and employees of all departments at the Collectorate to voluntarily participate in the blood donation drive.He has also urged officials to motivate employees working under them to participate in the initiative.
The Deputy Commissioner said blood donation can be like giving a new lease of life to a person in need. He appealed to people to join the humanitarian campaign in large numbers, stating that participation in the initiative would be a meaningful tribute to the memory of Dishom Guru Shibu Soren.
Preparations Underway for Tribute Programme
Preparations for the event are progressing at full speed, with arrangements at the venue being given final touches.
The preparations include:
- Construction and decoration of the pandal
- Setting up of the main stage
- Arrangements for visitors and attendees
- Other logistical preparations for the programme
The district administration and leaders and workers of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) are working continuously to ensure the smooth organisation of the event. A grand tribute programme dedicated to the memories and legacy of Shibu Soren will be held at Lukaiyatand on August 4, with a large gathering of supporters and members of the public expected to attend.
