CM Mohan Yadav Announces ₹1,550 Crore Investment Proposals for Gwalior Telecom Manufacturing Zone at Mumbai Meet

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav announced that the Mumbai Investor Roundtable secured ₹1,550 crore investment proposals for the Gwalior Telecom Manufacturing Zone (TMZ). The project aims to transform Gwalior into a world-class telecom manufacturing hub with strong government incentives and employment opportunities.

Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav announced that the Gwalior Telecom Manufacturing Zone (TMZ) has received investment proposals worth ₹1,550 crore during an investor roundtable held in Mumbai on August 4. The event brought together leading industrialists and investors to explore business opportunities in the state’s upcoming telecom manufacturing hub.

Addressing the conference, the Chief Minister said that the Telecom Manufacturing Zone has emerged as a major attraction for investors due to Madhya Pradesh’s industry-friendly policies, transparent governance, and growing industrial ecosystem.

Madhya Pradesh Emerging as a Preferred Investment Destination

Dr. Yadav said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Central and Madhya Pradesh governments have jointly established the Telecom Manufacturing Zone in Gwalior.

He noted that over the last two and a half years, the state has witnessed unprecedented investment across multiple sectors due to progressive industrial policies and reforms. According to him, these policies have strengthened investor confidence both in India and abroad, resulting in a steady flow of large-scale investment proposals.

The Chief Minister emphasized that investor trust reflects the state’s transparent governance and efficient administration.

Affordable Power and Skilled Workforce Boost Industrial Growth

Highlighting Madhya Pradesh’s competitive advantages, Dr. Yadav said the state offers one of the most affordable electricity tariffs in India, making it an attractive destination for manufacturing industries.

He also pointed out that:

  • Madhya Pradesh has a large pool of skilled manpower.
  • The government provides wage support for employment-generating industries for 5 to 10 years.
  • Investors benefit from a stable law-and-order environment and business-friendly governance.
  • The state continues to simplify industrial approvals and infrastructure support.

Delhi Roundtable Generated ₹3,500 Crore Investment Commitments

The Chief Minister recalled the success of the first investor roundtable held in Delhi, where the state received investment proposals worth around ₹3,500 crore.

According to him, those commitments are expected to generate employment opportunities for nearly 12,000 people.

He added that the Madhya Pradesh government has been actively organizing investment roadshows and investor meetings across major Indian cities to attract industries in diverse sectors.

Gwalior Telecom Manufacturing Zone to Become a Global Telecom Hub

Describing the Telecom Manufacturing Zone as a landmark project, Dr. Yadav said Gwalior is strategically located close to the Delhi-NCR region, offering excellent connectivity for telecom and electronics manufacturing.

He stated that the zone will provide:

  • Modern industrial infrastructure
  • Advanced telecom manufacturing facilities
  • Efficient supply chain support
  • World-class production ecosystem
  • New employment opportunities
  • Strong support for India’s digital manufacturing ambitions

The Chief Minister expressed confidence that the project will help transform Gwalior into a globally competitive telecom manufacturing hub.

State Highlights Success of Major Industrial Projects

Dr. Yadav also highlighted the success of several industrial initiatives across Madhya Pradesh.

He said that following the success of the Global Investors Summit (GIS) in Bhopal, the state plans to organize GIS 2027 next year.

He cited examples including:

  • The Electrical Equipment Park at Babai-Mohasa in Narmadapuram, where industrial plots were allotted soon after the foundation ceremony.
  • The PM MITRA Mega Textile Park in Dhar district, which has emerged as one of India’s largest textile manufacturing clusters with strong investor response.

Government Promotes Long-Term Partnership with Industry

The Chief Minister emphasized that Madhya Pradesh does not merely facilitate industrial establishment but also partners with investors for long-term expansion and growth.

He said this collaborative approach has resulted in faster land allotments, quicker project implementation, and increasing demand for industrial parks and manufacturing clusters across the state.

Focus on Manufacturing, MSMEs and Electronics

Dr. Yadav said Madhya Pradesh is witnessing rapid investment growth across several sectors, including:

  • MSMEs
  • Manufacturing
  • Engineering
  • Defence production
  • Textiles
  • Electronics
  • Telecom manufacturing

He added that initiatives such as “Make in MP” and “Made in MP” have significantly strengthened investor confidence and positioned the state as one of India’s fastest-growing industrial destinations.

Chief Minister Invites Investors to Expand in Madhya Pradesh

Concluding his address, Dr. Mohan Yadav invited domestic and global investors to make Madhya Pradesh their preferred destination for industrial expansion.

He said the current period presents an ideal opportunity to invest in the state, assuring investors of government support, reliable infrastructure, policy stability, and a business-friendly environment.

“The Government of Madhya Pradesh is committed to becoming a trusted partner in industrial growth. We invite investors to participate in the state’s development journey and contribute to building a developed India,” he said.
