Raipur: On the auspicious occasion of Chhath Mahaparv, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, accompanied by his wife Kaushalya Sai, offered arghya (obeisance) to the rising sun at KunKuri Chhath Ghat in Jashpur district. Extending his heartfelt greetings to the people of Chhattisgarh, Sai prayed for peace, prosperity, and well-being across the state, highlighting Chhath Puja as a symbol of solar worship and social harmony.
A Personal and Spiritual Celebration
Describing the event as a deeply personal and spiritual experience, Chief Minister Sai expressed his gratitude for being able to participate in the festival in his own assembly constituency. He emphasized that Chhath Mahaparv not only fosters devotion but also strengthens community bonds among devotees and citizens alike.

Development of KunKuri Chhath Ghat
In a major announcement for devotees, Chief Minister Sai sanctioned ₹5.17 crore for the beautification and development of KunKuri Chhath Ghat. The funds will be used to enhance facilities for visitors, improve infrastructure, and make the site more accessible for future festivals, reflecting the government’s commitment to promoting cultural heritage and religious tourism in the state.

The event saw the participation of several dignitaries, including Collector Rohit Vyas, Superintendent of Police Shashi Mohan Singh, and multiple public representatives.
