Gorakhpur: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited the Gorakhnath Temple on Tuesday evening and stayed overnight at the temple premises. On Wednesday morning, he conducted a Janata Darshan (public interaction), meeting citizens personally and hearing their grievances. The initiative is part of the CM’s ongoing efforts to remain connected with the public and address their issues directly.
During the interaction, the Chief Minister spoke to people warmly and assured them, “Do not worry, every problem will be addressed effectively.” He instructed officials to handle every complaint with sensitivity, transparency, and timely action, emphasizing that no citizen should feel neglected.
Citizens’ Grievances and Immediate Action
Around 200 citizens, including a large number of women, participated in the Janata Darshan held at the Mahant Digvijaynath Smriti Bhawan Auditorium inside the temple premises. CM Yogi Adityanath personally reached out to each attendee, inquiring about their well-being and listening to their problems attentively.
Several serious complaints were raised during the session:
- Land encroachment disputes, for which the CM directed strict legal action against offenders.
- A case of a house being burned, for which officials were instructed to take immediate action.
- Requests for financial assistance for medical treatment, particularly for citizens suffering from serious illnesses. The Chief Minister assured that funding would not be a barrier, directing authorities to expedite hospital estimates and provide necessary funds from the discretionary budget for treatment.
CM Yogi emphasized that officials must resolve all grievances in a time-bound, efficient, and transparent manner, ensuring that justice is delivered and citizens’ concerns are addressed with care.
Traditional Visit and Temple Activities
During his stay at the temple, the Chief Minister adhered to his traditional routine of spiritual practices. He paid homage to Guru Gorakhnath and his late mentor Mahant Avedyanath, bowing respectfully in prayer.
He also visited the temple gaushala (cow shelter), feeding cows with jaggery and rotis, and showing special affection for the animals. The temple’s peacocks approached him, and he personally petted them and fed them, demonstrating warmth and care for all living beings.
Commitment to Citizen Welfare
The Janata Darshan underlined CM Yogi Adityanath’s dedication to direct public engagement and governance with a human touch. By personally listening to citizens’ grievances and instructing officials for prompt action, the CM reinforced his focus on efficient administration, justice, and public welfare.
Through this initiative, the Chief Minister not only addressed individual grievances but also strengthened citizens’ trust in the government’s commitment to problem-solving, transparency, and accountability.
