According to the CRPF, the dismissal follows a serious violation of established norms and protocols. During routine monitoring of social media activity in coordination with central agencies, CRPF identified a breach involving an ASI/GD rank personnel. A preliminary enquiry was conducted, and the matter was deemed serious enough to be referred to the NIA for a detailed investigation.
The arrested ASI, Motiram Jat, has been accused of leaking sensitive intelligence inputs to Pakistan. The NIA alleges that he was in contact with individuals linked to the Pakistani intelligence agency over the last two to three years and had passed on classified information to them. He is currently under interrogation to determine the nature of the data he shared, the individuals he interacted with in Pakistan, what he received in return, and whether other individuals in India were involved in the espionage network.
The investigation is ongoing as the NIA probes deeper into the case to uncover the full extent of the espionage activity.
