Dredging Corporation Names New Independent Directors and MD & CEO, Initiates Postal Ballot Voting Till 1 June 2026 

Dredging Corporation of India Limited appoints Krishna Das and Devendra Kumar Pathak (IPS Retd.) as Independent Directors and Capt. S Divakar as Managing Director & CEO, with shareholder approval to be sought via remote e-voting under postal ballot starting 3 May 2026.

New Delhi: Dredging Corporation of India Limited (DCI) has informed stock exchanges about major leadership changes, including the appointment of new Independent Directors and a new Managing Director & CEO. The approvals will be placed before shareholders through a postal ballot process in compliance with SEBI Listing Regulations, 2015.

The company stated that these appointments aim to strengthen corporate governance and support long-term strategic growth.

Krishna Das Appointed as Independent Director

Krishna Das has been appointed as an Independent Director for a term of three consecutive years starting 9 March 2026. She brings over 15 years of experience in governance, welfare administration, legal education, and regulatory compliance.

She has previously served as Chairperson of the Assam State Social Welfare Board and has expertise in labour law, constitutional law, and social welfare initiatives.

Devendra Kumar Pathak (IPS Retd.) Joins as Independent Director

Devendra Kumar Pathak, IPS (Retd.), has been appointed as Independent Director for three years from 18 March 2026.

A former Director General of the Border Security Force, he has extensive experience in law enforcement, vigilance, and public administration. He also played a key role in raising the CRPF elite anti-Naxal force CoBRA and served as Chief Vigilance Officer at Oil India Limited.

Capt S. Divakar Appointed MD & CEO

Capt. S. Divakar (Mr. Divakar Sanamandra) has been appointed as Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer with effect from 25 March 2026.

He joined DCI in 1987 as a cadet and brings nearly four decades of experience in dredger operations, technical management, and leadership roles across both onboard and shore-based operations.

Postal Ballot and E-Voting Schedule

DCI will seek shareholder approval through an electronic postal ballot process.

  • E-voting begins: 3 May 2026 (9:00 AM IST)
  • E-voting ends: 1 June 2026 (5:00 PM IST)
  • Result announcement: On or before 3 June 2026

Eligible shareholders as of the cut-off date can participate in the voting process online.
