She said the combination of talented young professionals and modern judicial infrastructure can further strengthen this legacy.

National Trial Advocacy Competition Promotes Legal Skills

The first National Trial Advocacy Competition brought together young participants and provided them with an opportunity to showcase their legal reasoning, advocacy and courtroom skills.

Interacting with the participants, CM Rekha Gupta highlighted the importance of nurturing the next generation of legal professionals and strengthening the foundations of the justice system.

The event also provided a platform for young legal talent to gain practical exposure and develop their advocacy abilities.

CM Rekha Gupta Joins Teej Celebrations at Delhi Haat

Earlier on Sunday, CM Rekha Gupta participated in the Teej celebrations at Delhi Haat, Pitampura, where she joined women in celebrating the festival and extended her greetings to them.

The Chief Minister described Hariyali Teej as more than just a festival, calling it a celebration of faith, love, nature and women’s empowerment.

She said the festival, celebrated amid the greenery of the monsoon season, recalls the sacred story of the bond between Goddess Parvati and Lord Shiva.

Teej Festival Promotes Culture and Women’s Participation

CM Gupta said festivals such as Teej play an important role in keeping cultural traditions alive while strengthening feelings of love, harmony and togetherness in society.

She added that the Delhi government is working to promote cultural platforms where traditional folk practices and art can reach younger generations.

According to the Chief Minister, such platforms also provide artists and artisans with opportunities to showcase their skills and talent.

Two-Day Teej Mahotsav Held at Delhi Haat

The Delhi Tourism Department organised a two-day Teej Mahotsav at Delhi Haat, Pitampura, on August 8 and 9.

The festival featured several activities and competitions for women, including:

  • Mehendi competition
  • Bindi competition
  • Rangoli competition
  • Teej Queen – Miss Teej 2026
  • Best Dress Female competition

The celebrations brought together women and visitors in a festive atmosphere while providing a platform to showcase traditional art, creativity and cultural traditions.

Delhi Government Focuses on Justice and Cultural Development

CM Rekha Gupta’s engagements highlighted two key areas of the Delhi government’s focus—strengthening opportunities for young legal talent and promoting the capital’s cultural traditions.

While the National Trial Advocacy Competition provided a platform for emerging legal professionals, the Teej Mahotsav highlighted the importance of preserving folk traditions and creating opportunities for artists, artisans and the wider community.
