New Delhi: Mr. Ashok Kumar, IRSME, currently serving as Deputy Chief Mechanical Engineer (Planning) at Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR), Guwahati, has been deputed to the Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Limited (DFCCIL) as Joint General Manager (Mechanical). The Ministry of Railways has formally approved this move for a period of three years or until further orders, whichever comes first.
Relieving from NFR Duties
Mr. Kumar will be relieved from his responsibilities at NFR to assume his new assignment at DFCCIL’s Corporate Office in Noida. The deputation will follow standard terms, including parent pay plus deputation allowance. Government approval for exemption from the rule of immediate absorption into DFCCIL has also been sought. The date of relief will be communicated to the Railway Board.
Contribution to DFCCIL’s Growth
With this appointment, DFCCIL will gain from Mr. Kumar’s extensive experience in mechanical engineering and railway planning. His expertise is expected to strengthen infrastructure development, operational efficiency, and long-term planning for India’s dedicated freight corridors.
Administrative Coordination
The notification was issued by Roshan Kumari Menna, Under Secretary/D, Railway Board, and copies have been circulated to senior officials across the Ministry of Railways, DFCCIL, and concerned divisions to ensure smooth administrative coordination.
