New Delhi: Eastern Coalfields Limited (ECL) has recognised the Kunustoria Area for its outstanding efforts in promoting and implementing Hindi as the official language in administrative and official activities.
The area secured first prize for effective Hindi implementation in the ‘C’ region. The award was presented during the concluding ceremony of Rajbhasha Month 2026, organised at ECL’s headquarters.
ECL Chairman-cum-Managing Director (CMD) Dr. Satish Jha and the company’s Board of Directors presented the award in recognition of the area’s efforts to encourage the use of Hindi in official communication and workplace activities.
Jitan Kumar Verma Named ECL’s Best Rajbhasha Nodal Officer
In a separate recognition, Jitan Kumar Verma, Manager (Rajbhasha) at Kunustoria Area, was honoured with the title of Best Rajbhasha Nodal Officer of ECL.
The recognition highlights his contribution to promoting the implementation of Hindi in official work and supporting the company’s efforts to strengthen the use of the official language across its operations.
The achievement also reflects the role of Rajbhasha officials in encouraging Hindi usage in administrative communication and ensuring the effective implementation of official language policies.

Kunustoria Area General Manager Amit Kumar Sinha attributed the success to the collective efforts of employees who contributed to the effective implementation of the official language.
