EIL Holds 61st AGM, Reports Record FY26 Performance as Order Book Reaches ₹15,109 Crore

EIL posts highest-ever revenue, PAT and EPS as international business, infrastructure diversification, AI and energy-transition initiatives drive growth.

New Delhi: Engineers India Limited (EIL) convened its 61st Annual General Meeting (AGM) at Engineers India Bhawan, New Delhi, with the participation of shareholders, the Presidential Nominee, Government Nominee Director and Independent Directors.

The proceedings were led by Atul Gupta, Chairman and Managing Director (C&MD), EIL, along with the company’s Directors. During the AGM, Gupta highlighted the company’s strongest-ever financial performance in FY2025-26, along with its growing international presence, record order book and expansion into new sectors.

EIL reported its highest-ever Revenue from Operations of ₹3,849 crore, Profit After Tax (PAT) of ₹638.74 crore and Earnings Per Share (EPS) of ₹11.36 during the financial year.

The company also achieved an all-time high order book of ₹15,109 crore as of March 31, 2026, reflecting strong project execution capabilities and increased business across domestic and international markets.

EIL Reports Record Financial Performance in FY2025-26

EIL recorded strong growth across key financial parameters during FY2025-26.

The company’s financial performance included:

  • Revenue from Operations: ₹3,849 crore, the highest ever.
  • Profit After Tax: ₹638.74 crore, up nearly 37% from the previous year.
  • Profit Before Tax: ₹833.50 crore.
  • EBITDA: ₹877.15 crore.
  • EPS: ₹11.36, the highest ever.
  • Total Income: ₹4,058.86 crore, compared with ₹3,198 crore in FY2024-25.

The results reflect the company’s strong performance across its consultancy, turnkey and international businesses.

EIL also secured fresh business worth ₹7,978 crore during the year, helping its total order book reach a record ₹15,109 crore at the end of March 2026.

Record Order Book Provides Strong Business Visibility

EIL’s order book reached an all-time high of ₹15,109 crore as of March 31, 2026.

The order book included:

  • ₹6,009 crore from the Consultancy business.
  • ₹1,969 crore from the Turnkey business.
  • A growing contribution from international projects and overseas consultancy assignments.

The strong order position provides multi-year visibility for the company and reflects continued demand for its engineering, consultancy and project management capabilities.

The company said its project delivery capabilities and expanding global footprint have supported the growth in its business.

Overseas Business Emerges as Major Growth Driver

International business has become an important growth engine for EIL. The company recorded its highest-ever foreign order inflow of ₹4,929 crore during FY2025-26.

The overseas consultancy business accounted for around 62% of the fresh business secured during the year, highlighting the growing contribution of international markets to EIL’s overall business.

EIL is expanding its presence across several international markets, including:

  • Mongolia
  • Guyana
  • United Arab Emirates
  • Bahrain
  • Algeria
  • Kuwait
  • Saudi Arabia
  • Nigeria

The company is using its engineering and project management expertise to expand its presence in global energy and infrastructure markets.

Major Projects Strengthen EIL’s Nigeria Business

EIL is building on its experience with the Dangote Refinery and Petrochemical Project in Nigeria and has further strengthened its relationship with the Dangote Group.

The company has secured an EPCM mandate for the Dangote Train-2 expansion, valued at approximately US$360 million.

EIL has also secured a separate PMC/EPCM assignment for a new four-train fertiliser project in Nigeria.

These projects further strengthen the company’s international project portfolio and reinforce its position in large-scale energy and infrastructure assignments.

EIL Expands Presence in Saudi Arabia and Middle East

EIL has also increased its presence in the Middle East with the operationalisation of its office in Saudi Arabia.

The expansion is backed by a long-term in-Kingdom services agreement with Saudi Aramco, providing a platform for the company to expand its engineering and consultancy services in the region.

The move forms part of EIL’s wider internationalisation strategy and its efforts to build a more diversified and globally competitive business.

Company Expands Beyond Traditional Hydrocarbons Business

While hydrocarbons continue to remain an important part of EIL’s engineering capabilities, the company is expanding into infrastructure and emerging sectors.

Its infrastructure portfolio now includes:

  • Data centres
  • Institutional infrastructure
  • Airports
  • Large public infrastructure projects

During FY2025-26, EIL completed the Reserve Bank of India’s Greenfield Data Centre and Training Institute at Bhubaneswar.

The company also continued its association with the Shri Ram Temple Complex at Ayodhya and undertook assignments for major institutions, including IITs and IIMs.

EIL Strengthens Presence in Airport Infrastructure

Aviation infrastructure is another area where EIL has expanded its project portfolio.

During the financial year, the company completed Independent Engineer services for Noida International Airport while continuing its involvement in other major airport projects.

The expansion into airports and other infrastructure projects forms part of EIL’s broader strategy to diversify its business beyond conventional hydrocarbon-related assignments.

Focus Expands to Renewables, Green Hydrogen and Defence

EIL is also increasing its focus on emerging sectors linked to India’s changing energy and industrial landscape.

The company is developing capabilities in areas such as:

  • Renewable energy
  • Green hydrogen
  • Sustainable Aviation Fuel
  • Biofuels
  • Carbon management
  • Nuclear energy
  • Defence
  • Metallurgy
  • Emerging infrastructure sectors

This diversification is aimed at creating new business opportunities while reducing dependence on traditional areas of engineering and consultancy.

Technology and AI Become Key Areas of Focus

Technology, innovation and artificial intelligence are emerging as important components of EIL’s growth strategy.

The company’s R&D Centre in Gurugram has developed more than 40 process technologies.

During FY2025-26, EIL:

  • Filed 24 new patent applications.
  • Secured 10 patent grants.
  • Increased its active portfolio to 58 granted patents.
  • Had another 74 patent applications under consideration.

EIL is also integrating AI into engineering and project execution through indigenous digital solutions.

Its AI-enabled platforms are being used in areas including:

  • Project engineering
  • Cost estimation
  • Predictive asset integrity management

The company is combining its engineering expertise with digital technologies to improve project execution and develop new technology-led solutions.

EIL Strengthens Capabilities for Energy Transition

EIL is positioning itself for the changing energy landscape by developing capabilities in clean energy and energy-transition sectors.

Its focus areas include:

  • Green hydrogen
  • Sustainable Aviation Fuel
  • Biofuels
  • Carbon management
  • Renewable energy infrastructure

The company has set a target of achieving Net Zero emissions across Scope 1 and Scope 2 by 2035.

EIL is also moving beyond conventional consultancy in selected clean-energy segments by developing and owning energy-transition assets, indicating an expansion in its business model.

At the AGM, C&MD Atul Gupta highlighted EIL’s strategic priorities for the next phase of growth.

The company’s focus areas include:

  • Human excellence

The strategy builds on more than six decades of engineering expertise while seeking to create new opportunities across global energy, infrastructure and emerging technology-led sectors.

The company’s FY2025-26 performance reflects a broader transformation in EIL’s business profile.

With a record ₹15,109 crore order book, strong international order inflows and expansion into infrastructure, clean energy and technology-driven sectors, EIL is seeking to build a more diversified business base.
