Delhi Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal administered the oath to former Chief Secretary Vijay Kumar Dev (Retd.IAS:1987:AGMUT) as the new State Election Commissioner of Delhi on Thursday (21.04.2022). He will hold office for a term of six years from the date of assumption of charge or till he attains the age of 65 years.
IAS Dev’s appointment comes in the wake of SK Srivastava’s (Retd.IAS:1980:AGMUT) retirement from the post of State Election Commissioner.
IAS Dev, who retired from the post of Delhi Chief Secretary on Tuesday, had taken voluntary retirement about a year before his superannuation in March 2023 and has now joined as State Election Commissioner of Delhi and Chandigarh.
