A high-level German delegation, led by Frankfurt City Parliament member Mr. Rahul Kumar, is likely to visit Uttarakhand later this month to explore opportunities for bilateral cooperation in youth skill development, structured workforce mobility, and strategic partnerships in education and healthcare sectors.
Mr. Kumar, the first German politician of Indian origin elected to Frankfurt’s city parliament, said the upcoming visit aims to foster Indo-German collaboration by engaging with local training institutions and skilling agencies in Uttarakhand. The delegation seeks to identify avenues where trained Indian youth could contribute to the German workforce, as well as explore long-term institutional partnerships.
“The goal is to enhance structured mobility for skilled youth and build sustainable bridges in areas like education, healthcare, and employment,” Mr. Kumar said while addressing reporters on Friday.
During his recent visit to India, Mr. Kumar held discussions with Haryana Chief Minister Mr. Nayab Singh Saini and other key representatives from Punjab, Haryana, and Uttarakhand, with a focus on creating cross-border collaboration models. He also met with the German Ambassador in New Delhi to advance the Indo-German strategic agenda.
Mr. Kumar, who was elected to the Frankfurt Parliament in 2021, continues to lead a progressive Indo-German dialogue rooted in cultural exchange, economic partnership, and youth empowerment. The forthcoming visit is expected to open new doors for bilateral investment, especially in skilling and mobility frameworks that align with the demands of both nations.
