Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav inaugurated Godrej Consumer Products Limited’s fourth unit in the Malanpur industrial area of Bhind district on August 26. 4,000 Soaps to Be Produced Every Minute
The new facility will supply Godrej products across India and is expected to create employment opportunities in the region. According to CM Yadav, the plant will produce around 4,000 soaps every minute.
With the latest investment, Godrej’s total investment in its Malanpur operations has reached around ₹850 crore. The company has operated in the area for 35 years, with its first soap manufacturing unit established in 1991.

Focus on Jobs and Local Skills
The expansion is expected to strengthen employment opportunities in the Gwalior-Chambal region. Yadav also urged Godrej to start skill-development programmes for local residents so that people from Bhind can benefit directly from the industrial expansion.
Godrej Executive Chairperson Nisaba Godrej highlighted the company’s focus on women’s employment, including workplace safety, accommodation, night-shift opportunities and leadership development.

Chambal Region Gets New Industrial Push
CM Yadav said the Gwalior-Chambal region is developing a new identity centred on investment, industry and employment. He pointed to upcoming projects in sectors including telecom manufacturing and said the government is working to convert investment commitments into operational projects.
He also expressed hope that Godrej would establish a fifth unit in Malanpur soon.

Nisaba Godrej said the company is willing to work with the Madhya Pradesh government towards the goal of making the state malaria-free by 2030. Godrej has developed products aimed at preventing malaria and other mosquito-borne diseases.
