Project to Support Education and Rehabilitation

The initiative goes beyond classroom education by providing specialised support based on the individual needs of children.

Through assistive devices, therapy services, counselling and special education, the project aims to help children participate more effectively in school and community life.

The programme will also work towards strengthening teachers’ capacity to support children with special needs and improving awareness among families and communities.

Shri Navjyot Education Trust to Implement Project

The project is being implemented by Shri Navjyot Education Trust, which will work towards delivering the various educational and support services under the initiative.

The programme seeks to create a more accessible and supportive learning environment across schools in the Raigarh Block.

Improving barrier-free infrastructure is another important component, aimed at reducing physical barriers that may restrict children’s participation in education.

SECL Officials Attend Launch Programme

The launch programme was attended by senior SECL officials and employees.

Ajay Behera, General Manager (HR/CSR), attended the event as the Chief Guest, while Manoj Kumar, General Manager, Raigarh Area, was present as the Special Guest.

Other SECL officers and staff also participated in the programme.

The event was conducted by Jitendra Kumar Dubey, Manager (HR), Raigarh Area.

Focus on Social Inclusion and Holistic Development

SECL said the initiative reflects its commitment to inclusive development and the holistic growth of children with special needs in the region.

By combining education, specialised care, rehabilitation, teacher training, parental counselling and accessibility measures, the project aims to provide children with better opportunities to learn and participate equally in society.

The CSR initiative is expected to strengthen inclusive education practices in the Raigarh region and promote greater awareness about the needs and rights of differently-abled children.
