He credited this change to the state’s new industrial policy, which has rapidly instilled investor confidence and positioned Chhattisgarh as a rising star in India’s development story.

Investment Proposals Worth Rs 7.5 Lakh Crore Received in Just One Year

Emphasizing the success of the state’s policy reforms, Mr. Sai shared that Chhattisgarh has received investment proposals worth nearly Rs 7.5 lakh crore in just one year. These investments, spanning multiple sectors, are projected to create lakhs of employment opportunities, especially in services, healthcare, tourism, and IT.

“This is not just economic growth; this is the redefinition of Chhattisgarh’s industrial identity,” said Mr. Sai.

350+ Reforms Implemented in 18 Months to Accelerate Development

In alignment with Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi’s vision of a ‘Viksit Bharat’ (Developed India), the Chhattisgarh government has already implemented over 350 policy reforms in the last 18 months. These reforms have laid the foundation for faster approvals, transparent governance, and robust infrastructure development.

New Growth Engines: Healthcare, Tourism, Wellness, and AI

Highlighting emerging sectors, Mr. Sai announced that the state is now expanding beyond core industries and gaining traction in healthcare, wellness, pharmaceuticals, tourism, and artificial intelligence.

Key announcements included:

  • Rs 2,466 crore investment in hospital and healthcare projects, expected to create 6,000 jobs
  • Development of a dedicated pharma hub to consolidate pharmaceutical manufacturing
  • Rs 652 crore worth of proposals from the hotel and tourism sector, which now enjoys industry status
  • Launch of an AI Data Centre Park in Naya Raipur, marking Chhattisgarh’s entry into the AI revolution

Tourism as Industry: Unlocking Chhattisgarh’s Cultural and Natural Potential

Mr. Sai also pointed to Chhattisgarh’s rich cultural heritage, biodiversity, and tribal tourism potential as untapped economic drivers. With tourism granted full industry status, investors in this sector will now benefit from policy incentives, subsidies, and land support, encouraging rapid growth in hospitality infrastructure.

A Future-Ready Chhattisgarh: Fast, Inclusive, and Investable

With a proactive governance model, record-breaking investment proposals, and a sector-diversified development roadmap, Chhattisgarh is positioning itself as a future-ready state.

“We are no longer waiting for opportunities—we are creating them,” Mr. Sai stated, reinforcing the state’s commitment to building a prosperous, inclusive, and globally competitive Chhattisgarh by aligning with national development goals.
