Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav highlighted the vital role of saints and sages in preserving Indian culture and guiding society towards discipline. He made these remarks during the 14th Convention and Shreesangh Milan Samaroh of the Jain Shwetambar Malwa Mahasangh, held in Indore on Saturday.
The event witnessed spiritual and cultural exchange among devotees from various states, underlining the deep-rooted traditions of the Jain community and its contribution to the moral framework of Indian society.
‘Seva Pakhwada Abhiyan’ to Begin from September 17 Across All Districts
Dr. Yadav announced the commencement of the ‘Seva Pakhwada Abhiyan’ starting from September 17, coinciding with the birthday of Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi. The campaign aims to organize service-driven events and public welfare programs in every district of Madhya Pradesh.
Calling upon citizens and organizations to actively participate, Dr. Yadav said the campaign reflects the ethos of Seva (service) that lies at the heart of Indian values and democratic governance.
Focus on Self-Reliance, Industry, and Cow Protection
Dr. Yadav reiterated his government’s commitment to building a self-reliant Madhya Pradesh through a combination of industrial growth, self-employment initiatives, and dairy sector development.
He informed that significant progress has been made in:
- Encouraging industrial investment and local entrepreneurship
- Promoting self-employment schemes for youth and women
- Enhancing cow shelters and supporting milk production through cooperative milk unions
These efforts aim to create a balanced ecosystem of economic, social, and spiritual growth within the state.

During the ceremony, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav received blessings from revered Jain saint Acharya Vishwaratna Sagar, who praised the Chief Minister’s natural and inclusive leadership style. The Acharya highlighted the transformative work being done in areas of employment generation, religious trust administration, and overall state development.
The Chief Minister was welcomed with a Mangal Kalash and traditional rituals including the auspicious rice shower, signifying goodwill and divine blessings.
