Chief Minister Mr. Nitish Kumar, while interacting with workers and beneficiaries in Sakara Bajid under Sakara block, announced a bold new vision for Bihar’s development: creating 10 million employment opportunities in the next five years. He emphasized that the state is steadily moving toward inclusive growth and economic stability.

Highlighting Flagship Welfare Schemes

Mr. Kumar detailed several government initiatives aimed at empowering youth and women. These include the Chief Minister’s Women’s Employment Scheme, the Student Credit Card Scheme, and other welfare programs that are contributing significantly to skill development, education, and financial independence.

Women Empowerment as a Cornerstone of Development

During the address, Mr. Kumar highlighted the state’s transformative progress in women’s empowerment, stating that women in Bihar are now visible in every field—from education to administration. “There was a time when women couldn’t step out after dusk. Today, they walk freely even at night. This is the new Bihar,” he stated proudly.

Criticism of Opposition and Political Legacy Politics

The Chief Minister took a dig at opposition leaders, particularly Mr. Lalu Prasad Yadav, for promoting family-centric politics. He contrasted it with his own governance model, focused on equitable development and institutional integrity, stating that development under his leadership has prioritized all sections of society.

Public Grievance Redressal and Administrative Accountability

Calling for a responsive government, Mr. Kumar urged administrative officials to resolve public complaints immediately. He stressed that field officers and local representatives must actively listen to citizens’ concerns and ensure prompt solutions at the grassroots level.

Support from Central Government Acknowledged

Mr. Kumar expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi for the central government’s continued support in Bihar’s development journey. He noted that cooperative federalism is crucial in achieving long-term goals like job creation, infrastructure growth, and social upliftment.

Admits Past Political Mistakes, Calls for Focused Governance

In a candid admission, Mr. Kumar said that joining the RJD twice was a mistake and described it as a disruptive period. “Now, everything is fine. The focus is on governance and development,” he added, reaffirming his commitment to clean politics.

CM Praised as a ‘Man of Development’

Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Samrat Chaudhary addressed the gathering, describing Mr. Kumar as a “development man” in the footsteps of the late Mr. Babu (Dr. Srikrishna Sinha). He praised the Chief Minister’s village-to-village outreach efforts and his commitment to listening directly to the people.

Panchayati Leaders and Legislators Join in Support

Several senior leaders shared the stage, including Panchayati Raj Minister Mr. Kedar Prasad Gupta, Vaishali MP Ms. Veena Devi, MLA Mr. Ramsurat Rai, MLC Mr. Dinesh Prasad Singh, and MLA Mr. Ashok Chaudhary, all voicing support for the Chief Minister’s people-centric policies.

Bihar’s Development Narrative Gets Stronger

With a renewed focus on job creation, women’s empowerment, and citizen outreach, the Nitish Kumar government is laying the foundation for a more secure, prosperous, and inclusive Bihar, aligned with national development goals and the aspirations of a younger, dynamic population.
