Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel Inaugurates 13th Modern Bus Port in Navsari with State-of-the-Art Facilities

Navsari Bus Port built at Rs 82 crore under PPP model offers airport-like facilities for passengers, enhancing public transport, urban infrastructure, and business opportunities in Gujarat.

Navsari: Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel will inaugurate the newly constructed Navsari Bus Port, the state’s 13th advanced bus port, today at 5 pm. Built at a cost of Rs 82 crore over an area of 5,025 square metres, the bus port is equipped with modern facilities aimed at providing passengers with an airport-like experience, reflecting Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of transforming public transport infrastructure in the state.

State-of-the-Art Facilities for Passengers

The Navsari Bus Port has been developed under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model and is designed to ensure convenience, comfort, and accessibility for all commuters. The facility includes:

  • Deluxe waiting rooms
  • RO drinking water facilities
  • Departmental stores and canteens for refreshments
  • Wheelchairs and accessibility features for divyangs
  • CCTV surveillance for security

In addition, larger city bus ports across Gujarat are being equipped with movie theatres, banquet halls, and shopping malls, aiming to transform bus stations into hubs of convenience and entertainment.

Comprehensive Development Works in Navsari

On the occasion, CM Bhupendra Patel will also lay the foundation stone and inaugurate development works worth over Rs 475 crore across Navsari district. These projects include:

  • Roads, streets, and bridge projects
  • Civic center and multi-level parking facilities
  • Storm water network improvements
  • Enhanced transportation facilities

These initiatives are intended to improve urban infrastructure, provide better public services, and enhance the overall well-being of citizens, while generating employment opportunities for youth and women and supporting local businesses.

The inauguration ceremony will see the participation of several dignitaries, including:

  • Union Minister of Jal Shakti CR Patil
  • State Finance and Urban Development Minister Kanubhai Desai
  • Minister of Tribal Development Nareshbhai Patel
  • Minister of State for Transport Pravinbhai Mali
  • Local MLAs and MPs

Gujarat CMO highlighted that the development of advanced bus ports has transformed Gujarat into a major travel hub, providing passengers with efficient, comfortable, and modern transport facilities, and creating new avenues for academic travel, business, and tourism.

Under the guidance of CM Bhupendra Patel and the Prime Minister’s vision, Gujarat has developed 13 modern bus ports, with more underway. These projects aim to redefine public transport in the state, offering airport-like experiences to ordinary citizens while supporting the state’s economic growth, tourism, and urban development goals.
