Haryana Transfers 9 IAS Officers; Shyamal Misra & J. Ganesan Take Key Roles, Amar Deep Singh Appointed Registrar, Cooperative Societies

Chandigarh: The Haryana Government on Monday issued transfer and posting orders for nine Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers, effective immediately. The reshuffle, ordered by Chief Secretary Sh. Anurag Rastogi, sees several senior officers taking up new responsibilities across departments, metropolitan authorities, and state corporations.

Key Transfers and Postings

Mr Shyamal Misra: Previously serving as Chief Administrator of the Trade Fair Authority of Haryana, New Delhi, and CEO of Faridabad and Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authorities, Misra has been posted as Chief Administrator, Trade Fair Authority of Haryana, New Delhi, and Principal Secretary, Energy Department.

Mr J. Ganesan: Formerly Director of HARTRON and Managing Director of Housing for All Haryana, Ganesan has been appointed as CEO of Faridabad and Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authorities, Director General, Housing for All, Haryana, Secretary, Housing for All Department, Chief Administrator, Housing Board, Haryana, and continues as CEO of externally-aided projects including HAIDP and HCAPSD.

Mr Ashok Kumar Meena: Previously Managing Director of Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam Limited, Meena has been posted as Director General, Development & Panchayats, Haryana, and Secretary, Development & Panchayats Department.

Mr Dusmanta Kumar Behera: Moving from Secretary to Governor and DG of Development & Panchayats, Behera is now Secretary to Governor, Haryana, Labour Commissioner, Haryana, and Secretary, Labour Department.

Mr Mani Ram Sharma: Former Labour Commissioner and Secretary of the Home Department, Sharma has been appointed Managing Director, Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam Limited, and continues as Secretary, Energy Department and Secretary, Home Department.

Dr. Aditya Dahiya: Special Secretary of Personnel, Training and Parliamentary Affairs, Dahiya is now Director, New & Renewable Energy, Haryana, and Special Secretary, New and Renewable Energy Department, in addition to his existing responsibilities.

Mr Mahender Pal: Formerly Special Secretary, Industries & Commerce, and Additional Director, Mines & Geology, Pal has been appointed Managing Director, HARTRON, and Managing Director, Haryana Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Limited.

Mr Amar Deep Singh: Has been posted as Registrar, Cooperative Societies, Haryana.

Ms. Varsha Khangwal: Previously Additional Director (Admn.), Information, Public Relations & Languages, Khangwal has been assigned additional charge as Additional Secretary, Vigilance Department.

Implications of the Reshuffle

The transfers reflect the Haryana Government’s focus on strengthening administrative oversight in critical sectors, including energy, urban development, housing, labor, and renewable energy. Many officers are taking on multiple responsibilities, reflecting the government’s emphasis on coordination and efficient governance across departments and metropolitan authorities.
