Chandigarh: In a major administrative exercise, the Haryana government has issued transfer and promotion orders for 22 police officers, including 18 IPS officers and 4 HPS officers, bringing significant changes across the state’s police leadership structure.

The reshuffle includes fresh appointments to key posts such as Police Commissioners, DIG-level assignments, district policing positions, commandant roles, and specialised wings including cyber policing, narcotics control, and forensic administration.

The orders were issued on March 19, 2026, and are being seen as one of the most significant police administrative adjustments in recent months.

New Police Commissioners Appointed in Panchkula and Jhajjar

Among the most prominent appointments, Sivas Kaviraj has been promoted and posted as Police Commissioner, Panchkula.

Dr. Rajshri Singh has been appointed Police Commissioner, Jhajjar.

These appointments place both officers in key urban policing roles at a time when administrative focus remains high on law and order management and urban security.

The posting strengthens leadership in the anti-narcotics wing as Haryana continues to intensify drug control efforts.

Kala Ramachandran has been given additional charge as Director, Forensic Science Laboratory, Madhuban.

This assignment adds forensic leadership responsibility to her existing administrative role.

DIG-Level Changes Across Panchkula, Rohtak and Crime Branch

  • Abhishek Jorwal, after promotion, has been appointed DIG (Law and Order), Panchkula.
  • Manbir Singh has been posted as DIG, Police Training College, Sunaria in Rohtak.
  • Virendra Vij has been appointed DIG, State Crime Branch, Panchkula.

These assignments impact both operational policing and police training administration.

  • Arsh Sung has been appointed Commandant, IRB Bhondsi, Gurugram.
  • Narendra Bijarnia has been posted as Commandant, Newal, Karnal.

  • Mayank Gupta has been appointed SP Cyber, Panchkula.

The cyber policing appointment reflects Haryana’s growing focus on digital crime enforcement.

Postings of 2022 Batch IPS Officers After Promotion

New Additional SP Appointments

• Uttam – Additional SP, Hisar

• Faisal Khan – Additional SP, Narnaul

• Ayush Yadav – Additional SP, Rohtak

HPS Officers’ New Postings

Mukesh Kumar has been appointed Commandant, 2nd HAP, Madhuban.

Siddharth Dhanda has been given additional charge of ERSS, Panchkula.
