Hindustan Copper Q1 FY27 Financial Performance

HCL recorded significant growth across key financial parameters during Q1 FY27.

  • Revenue from Operations: ₹936.50 crore, up 81% from ₹516.37 crore in Q1 FY26.
  • Total Income: ₹953.60 crore, up 81% from ₹526.65 crore.
  • Profit Before Tax (PBT): ₹471.77 crore, up 163% from ₹179.36 crore.
  • Profit After Tax (PAT): ₹352.61 crore, up 163% from ₹134.28 crore.

The sharp rise in revenue and profitability highlights the company’s strong operating performance during the quarter.

EBITDA More Than Doubles

Hindustan Copper’s EBITDA stood at ₹507.5 crore in Q1 FY27, more than double the ₹212.3 crore recorded in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

The company’s EBITDA margin improved to 54%, compared with 41% in Q1 FY26, indicating a significant improvement in operating profitability.

Consolidated Q1 FY27 Results

On a consolidated basis, Hindustan Copper reported:

  • Revenue from Operations: ₹936.50 crore
  • Net Profit after share of Joint Venture: ₹352.37 crore
  • Basic EPS: ₹3.64

The consolidated results also reflected the company’s strong financial performance during the quarter.

Board Meeting and Regulatory Filing

The HCL Board meeting began at 10:30 AM on August 10, 2026, and concluded at 1:15 PM.

The company submitted its financial results to the BSE and NSE in compliance with the applicable provisions of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations.

Copper Prices Support Positive Outlook

The strong quarterly performance comes amid a firm global copper market. Global copper prices have recorded gains for six consecutive weeks, supported by tight supplies and easing concerns over a potential US interest rate hike following the latest jobs data.

Copper prices crossed the $14,000-per-tonne mark last week, reaching their highest intraday level since late January. Market analysts expect copper prices to remain elevated going forward, supported by supply constraints and continued demand.

Higher copper prices can provide a supportive operating environment for copper producers such as Hindustan Copper.

Hindustan Copper Share Price Reaction

Shares of Hindustan Copper were trading 1.2% higher at ₹542.75 on Monday following the announcement of the Q1 FY27 results.

The stock has gained around 4% so far in 2026, according to the information available at the time of the results announcement.

HCL Focuses on Copper Mining and Processing

Hindustan Copper continues to focus on its core business of mining and processing copper ore into copper concentrate and producing continuous copper wire rods. The company’s performance in Q1 FY27 was supported by strong revenue growth, higher profitability and improved EBITDA margins.
