Hindustan Shipyard Limited Wins Gold and Silver Distinctions at 5th PSU Transformation Annual Awards

New Delhi: Hindustan Shipyard Limited (HSL) has been recognised for its innovation and digital transformation efforts, securing two distinguished awards at the 5th PSU Transformation Annual Awards held in New Delhi on December 19, 2025. The accolades celebrate HSL’s commitment to operational excellence and its continued focus on leveraging indigenous solutions to enhance efficiency in shipbuilding and repair operations.

Gold Distinction for Innovation Impact

HSL was awarded the Gold Distinction under the Innovation Impact Award category for its project titled “Innovative In-House Modification of Die Set for Corrugation of Bulkheads.” This project reflects the company’s ability to develop cost-effective and efficient in-house solutions, strengthening its technical capabilities and contributing to improved productivity in ship production.

Silver Distinction for Digital Transformation

In addition, HSL received the Silver Distinction under the Digital Dynamo Award category for the project “Digitalization of Steel Cut Pieces Segregation Using QR Barcoding.” This initiative underscores HSL’s efforts to integrate digital solutions into its operations, enabling better tracking, segregation, and management of materials, thereby enhancing operational efficiency and reducing errors in shipbuilding processes.

Recognition and Key Representatives

The awards were received on behalf of HSL by N Ashok Kumar, Chief General Manager (Production), and P Naresh Ravi Kumar, Manager (Hull Systems). The recognition reflects HSL’s continued focus on innovation, technological advancement, and digital adoption, positioning the company as a leader in the Indian shipbuilding sector.
