HP: 2 IPS & 14 HPPS Officers Transferred, Rajesh Kumar Made SP (Leave Reserve), Police HQ

In a significant administrative reshuffle, the Himachal Pradesh government has transferred two Indian Police Service (IPS) officers and 14 Himachal Pradesh Police Service (HPPS) officers, as per an official notification released today.

Among the changes, 2018-batch IPS officer Rajesh Kumar, currently serving as Commandant of Home Guards and Fire Services, has been appointed as Superintendent of Police (Leave Reserve), Police Headquarter, Shimla, HP.

Meanwhile, 2021-batch IPS officer Abhishek, previously set for transfer to Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Amb in Una, will now serve as SDPO in Baddi, Solan district.

Additionally, 2006-batch HPPS officer Naresh Kumar has been transferred to the position of Superintendent of Police (Leave Reserve).

Further changes among HPPS officers include:

Vinod Kumar, also from the 2006 batch, has been moved from SP (Welfare) at Police Headquarters, Shimla, to Assistant Inspector General (AIG) of Traffic, Tourist & Railways (TT&R) in Shimla.

Pankaj Sharma, Commandant of the 1st Battalion Home Guards in Kinnaur, will now serve as SP (Welfare).
Other notable transfers include:

Sushil Kumar has been appointed as SP (Prisons) in Shimla.

Suresh Kumar, Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) at the 2nd Indian Reserve Battalion in Kangra, is now Commandant of the 1st Battalion Home Guards in Kinnaur.

Som Dutt, currently an ASP awaiting posting at Police Headquarters, has been assigned as ASP of the 3rd Indian Reserve Battalion in Pandoh, Mandi.

Amar Singh moves from DSP of the 3rd Indian Reserve Battalion to DSP of the 1st Himachal Pradesh Armed Police Battalion in Junga, Shimla.

Shakti Singh has been designated as DSP (Leave Reserve) in Shimla.
Other transfers include:

Ajay Kumar to DSP of the 2nd Indian Reserve Battalion in Sakoh.

Vikram Chauhan as DSP Crime in CID, Shimla.

Dev Raj as SDPO in Padhar, while Dinesh Kumar transitions from SDPO to DSP at Police Headquarters, Mandi.

Sanjeev Kumar has been posted as SDPO in Dharampur, Mandi, and Om Parkash has been reassigned to DSP of the 3rd Indian Reserve Battalion in Pandoh.
