In a recent bureaucratic development, 2007 batch IAS officer K C Devasenapathi, Chhattisgarh cadre, has been appointed as Secretary (Joint Secretary level) of the Coastal Aquaculture Authority (CAA), Chennai, under the Department of Fisheries.
According to an official order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on May 28, 2025, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) approved his appointment for a combined tenure of seven years – up to August 18, 2028, or until further orders, whichever is earlier. His new role will involve overseeing regulatory frameworks and promoting sustainable aquaculture practices along India’s coastal regions.
Archana P P Transferred to Kerala Cadre on Grounds of Marriage
In a separate development, IAS officer Archana P P (Karnataka cadre, 2024 batch) has been transferred to the Kerala cadre. The transfer has been granted on the grounds of marriage to Shri S Gautham Raj, IAS (Kerala cadre, 2023 batch).
Under current DoPT guidelines, officers may seek inter-cadre transfers on marital grounds, subject to mutual consent from the concerned state governments and approval from the Centre. Archana P P’s request met these criteria and has been duly processed.
