According to a notification issued by UPSC for Rajasthan Administrative Service officers 16 RAS officers will soon be appointed as IAS. On June 13, 2023, a board meeting will be conducted at the Union Public Service Commission, or UPSC. Usha Sharma, the Chief Secretary, will also be present at this meeting. The Department of Personnel had already requested a list of officers who had received promotions.
According to reports, nine officers from the 1996 batch of the Rajasthan Administrative Service and seven officers from the 1997 batch have been selected for the Indian Administrative Service or IAS. They will be trained at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration after being selected for the IAS service. Following that, they will be admitted to a specific batch. Ashok Gehlot, the state’s chief minister, has established 19 new districts. In such a case, the scarcity of IAS officers for new districts would be eliminated.
