Following a recommendation by the Election Commission of India, the government of Gujarat gave additional charge to Mr. A K Rakesh (1989 batch IAS) as the Additional Chief Secretary in the Home Department, relieving IAS Pankaj Joshi (1989 batch) from this charge.
Mr. Rakesh presently serves as the Additional Chief Secretary in the Department of Agriculture, Farmer’s Welfare, and Co-Operation in Gandhinagar.
