The Union Government, via a circular issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on May 3rd, mandated Ms. Lalithambigai K (2015-batch Manipur Cadre IAS officer) to assume officer as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Tourism under the central staffing scheme for a tenure of four years or until further orders, whichever transpires earlier.
The DoPT order read, “In view of declaration of election to the Lok Sabha, in case of the officer being on election related duty she (IAS Lalithambigai K) may kindly be relieved after due clearance from the Election Commission of India to take up her new assignment in the Ministry of Tourism.”
Officer Lalithambigai K had previously served as Joint Secretary in the Department of Textile Commerce & Industries under the government of Manipur.
